Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

The Role

You will be working closely with and reporting to our Business Manager maintaining all accounts
receivable and accounts payable functions for the business. There will be a minimum expectation of four days a week with the capacity to scale up to five days during busier times or times of Leave.

The core role responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:

  • A/P - Daily processing expenses, bills and reconciling to supplier monthly statements

  • A/R - Prepare and issue monthly invoicing, process customer payments, assist customer account enquiries

  • Bank, Credit Card reconciliations

  • Maintain databases and other internal registers

  • Update project budgets and provide to clients monthly/as requested

Expectations of the role

  • Extremely high attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy

  • Demonstrated experience in financial administration, including expenses and invoicing

  • Willingness to learn

  • Demonstrated experience in working both collaboratively and autonomously in an accountable environment with multiple stakeholders.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with experience in problem solving across
    multiple teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in using a variety of software and Microsoft Office applications
    (particularly Excel)


Applicants with the following additional capabilities will be highly regarded:

  • Ability to learn the working environment quickly and apply processes seamlessly.

  • Accounting or Bookkeeping firm experience

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft applications
